Retail Shift Manager

About the role

As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl you will keep the store running smoothly, ensuring high standards and a great customer experience. You will lead a team on the shop floor, solve problems quickly and support store operations in the absence of senior managers.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate and support team members, applying Lidl’s Leadership and Company Principles.
• Delegate tasks, solve issues promptly and maintain a productive work environment.
• Manage store operations, including freshness, cash handling, inventory and stock control during your shift.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure the store meets its performance targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a team in a fast‑paced retail or similar environment.
• Ability to delegate effectively, stay calm under pressure and maintain a friendly, patient demeanor.
• Strong motivation to contribute to store success and develop colleagues.

• Hourly pay of £15.45‑£15.95 (plus £2.00 extra for bank holidays and £3.50 for night shifts).
