Retail Store Manager – Pet Shop

About the role
We are seeking a Retail Store Manager for our Stevenage pet shop. You will lead daily store operations, ensuring high standards, effective stock control and excellent service for our pet‑parent customers.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day store activities and maintain visual and operational standards.
- Manage, coach and schedule the store team to achieve sales and service targets.
- Control inventory, ordering and stock replenishment.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve issues promptly.
- Drive store performance and contribute to growth initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a pet‑related environment.
- Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service focus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
