Retail Supervisor (Part‑Time, 24 hrs/week)

About the role

Farmfoods is seeking a part‑time Retail Supervisor to join its Berwick‑upon‑Tweed store. Working a minimum of 24 hours per week across varied shifts, you will support the store manager and help deliver excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the manager in leading the team and ensuring smooth shop operations.
• Take full responsibility for opening and closing the store, handling cash, and placing orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment, manage deliveries and stock replenishment.
• Develop and coach retail assistants, fostering a positive team culture.
• Control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Required profile

• Friendly, positive and hard‑working attitude.
• People‑oriented with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Trustworthy and reliable, able to work independently.
• Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar sector is desirable.
• Willingness to complete a Basic DBS or Disclosure Scotland check.
