Retail Trainer – Kent (Hybrid, £30,213 + mileage)

About the role

The Retail Trainer position supports apprentices across Kent and the Maidstone area, delivering hybrid, home‑based training for retail programmes (Levels 2‑4). You will use your retail leadership background to coach learners in real store environments, helping them achieve their qualifications while you travel to various employer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and assess retail apprentices both on‑site and remotely.
• Conduct learner reviews and progress meetings.
• Deliver engaging, practical coaching linked to everyday retail operations.
• Support apprentices to complete their programmes on time.
• Build strong relationships with employer managers.
• Maintain accurate learner records and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Management or supervisory experience in retail (store manager, assistant manager, deputy manager, area support, etc.).
• Background in any retail sector such as supermarkets, fashion, sports, homeware or high‑street stores.
• Passion for developing people and strong communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• No prior training or assessing experience required – full support will be provided.
