Revenue Accountant – 4‑Month Hybrid Contract

About the role

Join a leading consulting organisation as a Revenue Accountant on a 4‑month hybrid contract. Based in Manchester city centre, you will support the Global Financial Services team by managing revenue recognition and driving process excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with local finance teams to ensure smooth process transitions through documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Lead month‑end close activities, including journal entries, revenue schedule reviews and timely reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities and efficiency gains.
• Work cross‑functionally to support central revenue recognition, resolve queries and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Maintain compliance with SLAs, finance policies, statutory requirements and internal controls, including SOX.
• Promote a high‑performance, collaborative and inclusive team culture.
• Adapt to evolving responsibilities as automation initiatives progress.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in general ledger or revenue accounting, preferably with a qualified accountant background.
• Strong continuous‑improvement mindset and ability to spot efficiency opportunities.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented collaborator with excellent stakeholder‑management skills.
• Comfortable with finance systems and automation tools; Oracle experience is a plus.
• Adaptable, curious and quick to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear and confident communicator across teams and senior stakeholders.
