RF Planning and Optimisation Specialist

About the role

This position sits within BT/EE’s Mobile Network Planning and Optimisation function. You will be responsible for improving radio network performance, coverage and customer experience across a defined geographic area.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse network performance and customer experience data for the assigned region.
• Develop and implement detailed improvement plans using existing radio network capabilities.
• Investigate public benchmark (Umlaut and root metric) failures and create mitigation actions.
• Identify and prioritise investment requirements, building business cases to support funding.
• Monitor failure causes, trend analysis and work with operations/managed service partners to resolve faults.
• Produce evidence packs for decision‑making and investment approval.
• Support less experienced team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mobile network RAN optimisation or planning for LTE and 5G.
• Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations with incomplete information.
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced data‑analytics capabilities.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with regional teams, operations and external partners.
