Risk and Controls Officer – Artificial Intelligence (VP)

About the role

Citi is seeking a senior Technology Risk and Controls Officer focused on Artificial Intelligence, including Generative AI and Agentic AI. The role will help shape safe AI adoption across the bank’s global technology landscape while ensuring robust governance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Drive AI control improvements and coordinate AI‑specific internal audits.
• Partner with technology teams, internal audit, and the second line of defence to address AI‑related risks.
• Develop and enhance AI governance frameworks and risk‑management processes.
• Monitor emerging AI trends and ensure the bank’s AI practices remain compliant and secure.

Required profile

• Strong interest in Generative AI, Agentic AI and large‑scale machine‑learning applications.
• Proactive learner with a passion for staying current on AI developments.
• Self‑starter who can influence stakeholders and drive results in a fast‑moving environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple technology and risk functions.
