About the role
Mastercard is seeking a Manager for Europe Customer Risk Management to lead credit risk oversight for its portfolio of counterparties. Reporting to the Europe Regional CRM VP, you will operate in the First Line of Defense, collaborating closely with the Second Line Credit Risk function.
Key responsibilities
- Manage credit risk for the assigned portfolio, serving as the primary contact for all CRM matters.
- Implement risk policies and procedures to minimize potential credit losses while supporting business initiatives.
- Conduct customer credit risk underwriting analysis and execute risk management strategies.
- Partner with the CRM Center of Excellence to ensure 24x7 monitoring and management of customer exposure.
- Develop and manage risk processes, including alternative risk mitigation solutions.
- Perform credit considerations during the onboarding of new customers.
- Prepare external and internal CRM‑related reporting.
- Support cross‑functional initiatives to achieve risk objectives.
Required profile
- Graduate degree in business, finance, economics or equivalent.
- Experience in credit risk assessment and financial statements analysis, preferably within the European banking sector.
