Risk Officer

About the role

Oliver James is partnering with a long‑established London market insurance firm to recruit a Risk Officer. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, you will play a key part in shaping the firm’s risk framework while benefiting from flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) and the Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) processes.
• Manage qualitative and quantitative exposure analysis for both the London market and reinsurance business.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial and finance teams to embed risk insights into decision‑making.
• Monitor and report on regulatory developments affecting the insurance sector.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) within the London insurance market.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Full right to work in the United Kingdom.
