Roadside Technician – Cheltenham

About the role

Join the RAC Patrol division as a Roadside Technician based in Cheltenham. You will be the first point of contact for members who need fast, reliable assistance on the road, working from your own van and returning home each day.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs, including tyre changes, battery replacements and fault‑finding.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the Cheltenham cluster (Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Cirencester and surrounding Cotswold towns).
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with members.

Required profile

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in technical, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Customer‑focused attitude with strong communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
