Roadside Technician – London & Greater London

About the role

Join the RAC’s Patrol division as a Roadside Technician, providing fast, reliable breakdown assistance across London and Greater London. You will work from home each day, travelling to members’ vehicles to diagnose and repair a range of light‑vehicle faults.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site mechanical repairs, electrical diagnostics and tyre changes for member vehicles.
• Diagnose and resolve issues such as flat batteries, fault codes and complex mechanical problems.
• Provide emergency breakdown support, ensuring members receive prompt and reassuring service.
• Maintain and utilise a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit.

Required profile

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in technical, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Customer‑focused attitude and strong communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
