Roadside Technician – North West

About the role

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and keep the UK moving. You will provide expert mechanical repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the North West, starting and finishing each day from your own driveway.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site mechanical repairs and diagnostics for light vehicles.
• Handle breakdown situations such as flat batteries, tyre changes and complex fault‑finding.
• Deliver fast, confident solutions and reassurance to members in need.
• Maintain and operate your own RAC van, fuel card, uniform and diagnostic kit.

Required profile

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in technical, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Customer‑focused attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
