Roadside Technician – Slough

About the role

Join the RAC’s Patrol division as a Roadside Technician, providing fast, reliable automotive assistance to members across the Slough cluster. You will start and finish each day from your home, travelling to local breakdowns and delivering expert repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Handle tasks such as flat‑battery replacement, tyre changes and complex fault‑finding.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with members.
• Manage your own RAC van, fuel card, uniform and diagnostic tools.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
