Roadside Technician – Wembley

About the role

Join the RAC Patrol division as a Roadside Technician based in Wembley. You will be the first point of contact for members who need immediate assistance on the road, providing fast, reliable repairs and diagnostics from the comfort of your own driveway.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site mechanical repairs, including battery replacement, tyre changes and fault finding.
• Diagnose vehicle issues using provided diagnostic kits and tools.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the local area, ensuring members are back on the road quickly.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate status updates to the control centre.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to work independently, start and finish each shift from home.
