Roadworker/Driver – Highway Construction & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking roadworker/drivers to join our team delivering major highway, bridge and related construction and reconstruction projects across Derbyshire. The role also includes a mandatory rota for emergency services and winter maintenance such as gritting and snow clearing, with additional pay for out‑of‑hours work.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a range of vehicles and specialised plant and equipment.
• Carry out drainage, road resurfacing, manhole construction, kerbing, fencing, flag and block laying, structural concreting and patching.
• Provide emergency road services and winter maintenance outside normal working hours.
• Maintain traffic flow and public safety on site.

Required profile

• Full driving licence – LGV C and G.
• Experience in highways maintenance and construction services.
• Ability to work safely, meet performance and quality standards, and interact positively with the public.
