Rolling Stock Engineer – HST & Locomotive Projects

About the role
We are seeking a Rolling Stock Engineer to support the inspection, maintenance, repair and preparation of locomotives and rolling stock for UK and overseas operations. The role offers variety, travelling between Norfolk and international sites, and the chance to work on iconic railway vehicles.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain and repair locomotives and rolling stock.
- Prepare vehicles for export to international customers.
- Support overseas commissioning projects.
- Work alongside client driver and maintenance teams.
- Provide technical expertise across a range of rolling stock projects.
- Assist with the development of engineering capability.
Required profile
- Proven experience with Class 43 HST power cars.
- Strong knowledge of Mk3 coaching stock.
- Practical, hands‑on engineering background.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
