Roofer Improver – Join Property Maintenance Team

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Roofer Improver to join our Property Maintenance team in London. You will work alongside experienced roofers, gaining hands‑on experience in roof repairs, maintenance and replacements across Hyde homes.

Key responsibilities

• Support qualified roofers with repairs, maintenance and replacements.
• Strip old roofing materials, prepare surfaces and lay new materials.
• Carry materials and tools to and from work areas.
• Assist with fixing leaks, damaged tiles and roof coverings.
• Clear gutters and downpipes to prevent water build‑up.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring tools are stored safely.
• Use ladders, harnesses and safety equipment correctly at all times.
• Report any hazards, accidents or damage immediately.
• Provide courteous service to customers in their homes.

Required profile

• Physically fit and comfortable working at height and lifting materials.
• Basic knowledge of roofing materials, tools and safe working practices.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced roofers.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
