Roofer – Scheduled Projects

About the role

The Hyde Group is seeking an experienced Roofer to join its property services team in London. The role focuses on scheduled roofing projects across Lewisham and surrounding postcode areas, delivering repairs, maintenance and installations for domestic properties.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned inspections and assessments to identify roof repair or replacement needs.
• Perform scheduled roofing repairs and installations, working with tiles, slates, flashing and other materials.
• Apply weather‑proofing and protective coatings to extend roof lifespan.
• Maintain a safe, controlled work environment and follow all health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Manage and organise roofing materials, tools and equipment for each project.
• Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to ensure smooth delivery of planned works.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a roofer, preferably on project‑based or scheduled work.
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, installation techniques and repair methods.
• Ability to work at height and in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driving licence and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Safe use of roofing tools.
• Operation of roofing equipment.
