Roofing Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Roofing Assistant to cover the South London/M25 area, delivering comprehensive roofing maintenance across a variety of properties while meeting client expectations for quality, cost and speed.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Roofing Technician with planned and reactive maintenance tasks as directed by the Contract Support Team.
• Perform labouring and basic maintenance duties, including installing slates, tiles and waterproof membranes.
• Assist in assessing damage, spotting leaks and creating waterproof seals.
• Help with repairs on wood structures, timbers and framing.
• Update job logs with notes and upload relevant documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a general labouring role, preferably within construction.
• Carpentry and joinery skills with good hand‑eye coordination.
• High stamina, strength and flexibility for frequent bending, kneeling and lifting.
• Ability to work effectively with team members, contractors, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Full driving licence.

• Use of hand and power tools for roofing installation.
• Installation of slates, tiles and waterproof membranes.
• Basic carpentry and joinery for wood‑structure repairs.
