Roofing Trainer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced roofer to step away from the site and become a hands‑on trainer for the next generation of slate and tiled roofers. You will work in a modern workshop environment delivering practical training and mentoring learners towards recognised industry qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical slate and tiled roofing training in a workshop setting.
• Prepare tools, materials and equipment for each training session.
• Coach, mentor and support learners, ensuring safe working practices.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, organised and professional learning environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in slate and tiled roofing.
• Strong hands‑on trade background with relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Desire to transition from full‑time site work to a training role.
• Passion for mentoring and developing future roofers.
