Route Planning Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a friendly, organised and proactive individual to join our client’s team as a Route Planning Supervisor. Working in a fast‑paced logistics environment, you will ensure daily operations run smoothly while acting as the main point of contact for customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑ordinate daily transport jobs and raise/manage all required paperwork.
• Plan driver routes, assign drivers and vans, and ensure routes are cost‑effective.
• Prepare delivery documentation, invoice using the internal system and create relevant paperwork.
• Track and monitor drivers, providing customers with accurate ETAs via in‑house and external tracking systems.
• Serve as the go‑to person linking drivers, customers and internal teams, handling last‑minute requests with attention to detail.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of logistics and freight forwarding.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to solve problems quickly.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
• Flexible attitude, willing to assist with loading and unloading vehicles when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• General competence in Microsoft Office suite.
