RPG Software Developer – Hybrid (Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced RPG Software Developer to join our growing team. The role is hybrid, primarily based on client sites in Leeds with occasional visits to our Milton Keynes office, starting September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test and support RPG applications for finance, manufacturing and retail clients.
• Analyse business requirements and design effective software solutions.
• Produce technical documentation for new developments and enhancements.
• Understand client business processes to provide long‑term support.
• Manage software changes from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to customers where needed.

Required profile

• Commercial experience developing IBM i / RPG applications.
• Experience maintaining and modernising business‑critical applications.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.

• RPG (legacy and modern versions)
• ILE
• SQL
• CLP
• IBM i operating system
• Query 400 and DFU
• IDE such as VS Code or RDI
