Ruby on Rails Engineer – Senior & Mid‑Level Roles

About the role

We are looking for experienced Ruby on Rails engineers to join a fast‑growing SaaS start‑up in London. The team will consist of two senior engineers and three mid‑level engineers working on a platform that has already reached £2 million in recurring revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Redesign and extend the existing SaaS platform, primarily using Ruby on Rails (≈80% backend).
• Collaborate with frontend developers on JavaScript/VueJS features (≈20% frontend).
• Deploy and maintain services on AWS.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous integration.
• Help shape technical direction, with one senior role progressing towards a technical lead.

Required profile

• Strong experience building backend systems with Ruby on Rails.
• Comfortable working in a start‑up environment and eager to adopt new agentic tools.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.

Required skills

• Ruby on Rails
• JavaScript (any modern framework, VueJS preferred)
• VueJS or comparable frontend library
• AWS cloud services

What we offer

• Competitive salary: £90k‑£100k for senior engineers, £70k‑£80k for mid‑level engineers.
