Safeguarding Intervention Worker

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Safeguarding Intervention Worker to join the Student Experience team at OnlyFE in Blackburn. In this full‑time position you will support the welfare of students by delivering timely, student‑centred safeguarding interventions and coordinating referrals to external agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to students when safeguarding concerns arise.
• Work closely with the Safeguarding Lead and Head of Student Experience to assess and intervene appropriately.
• Coordinate referrals and maintain effective information sharing with external agencies in line with LSCB and LSAB procedures.
• Contribute to early‑help and preventative interventions across college departments.
• Help develop and deliver safeguarding awareness and training sessions for staff and students.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a safeguarding or pastoral role working with children, young people and vulnerable adults.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, thresholds, signs of abuse and risk factors.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and collaborate with external professionals.
• Highly organised, empathetic and resilient with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures.
• Experience conducting safeguarding assessments and interventions.
• Ability to deliver training or awareness sessions.
