Sales and Lettings Negotiator (London)

About the role

John D Wood is seeking a motivated Sales and Lettings Negotiator for its Sydenham office. You will join a professional team that values meticulous service and deep local market knowledge, helping clients buy, sell and rent residential properties across London and the South of England.

Key responsibilities

• Register and qualify new applicants for sales and lettings.
• Maintain regular contact with landlords and prospective tenants, recording all communications.
• Arrange, organise and conduct property viewings.
• Negotiate offers on behalf of clients and secure successful transactions.
• Develop and nurture long‑term client relationships built on trust.
• Collaborate with the branch manager to identify new business opportunities.
• Meet daily and weekly performance targets.
• Work across departments and refer business where appropriate.

Required profile

• Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Professional, ambitious and enthusiastic attitude with a desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong rapport‑building skills and capacity to develop lasting relationships.
• Resilience under pressure in a fast‑changing environment.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook.
