Sales Assistant – Retail (Bedminster)

About the role

Join Topps Tiles as a Sales Assistant in Bedminster and help customers bring their tiling projects to life. You’ll work in a small, supportive team, providing advice and inspiration while driving store revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting tiles and design solutions for their projects.
• Provide product knowledge and advice to both retail and trade customers.
• Process sales transactions and support the till when required.
• Maintain store presentation, stock levels and handle heavy boxes safely.
• Build lasting relationships with regular trade customers.
• Achieve personal sales targets and earn commission on each sale.

Required profile

• Outgoing, friendly and positive attitude.
• Able to lift and move heavy tile boxes.
• Age 18 or over; no prior tile or retail experience required.
• Strong customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £12.71 (21+) or £10.85 (under 21) plus personal sales commission.
• 10‑hour work week, including some weekend shifts.
• No late‑evening, Christmas Eve or Boxing Day work; three days off over Christmas.
