Sales Assistant – Trade Counter (Braintree)

About the role

Join Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, as a Sales Assistant in Braintree. You will work on the trade counter, helping trade customers find the right plumbing products while supporting the branch’s overall sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve customers at the trade counter, identify their requirements and provide product recommendations.
• Handle enquiries by phone and email with a courteous, solution‑focused approach.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
• Perform general warehouse duties including picking, packing, unpacking deliveries and maintaining branch standards.
• Manually handle heavy items such as boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and confidence when engaging with customers.
• Previous experience in sales or customer service is advantageous.
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop through provided training.
