Sales Associate

About the role

As our next Sales Associate you’ll be on the front line of Checkatrade’s growth, engaging trade businesses that are already interested in joining the platform. You’ll build rapport quickly, convert warm leads into long‑term partnerships and help tradespeople grow their business.

Key responsibilities

• Respond quickly to inbound leads by phone and email, ensuring no missed opportunities.
• Understand customer needs and demonstrate how Checkatrade can help their business grow.
• Explain the value of Checkatrade clearly and handle objections with confidence.
• Manage the full sales cycle from the first conversation through to closing the deal.
• Keep activity and pipeline up to date in Salesforce.
• Share insights from customer conversations to spot trends, opportunities and competitor activity.
• Work with internal teams to ensure new members have a smooth start.

Required profile

• Experience in inbound sales, direct sales or account management.
• Track record of consistently hitting sales targets.
• Resilience and determination in a fast‑moving sales environment.
• Confidence in handling objections and moving deals forward.
• Strong written and verbal communication that builds trust quickly.
• Proactive, curious mindset with interest in market dynamics.
• Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM tool.
