Sales Engineer – Instrumentation & Process Control

About the role

Our client, a well‑established British manufacturer of industrial instrumentation and process control solutions, is seeking a remote Sales Engineer to cover the Southern half of England. You will be responsible for managing existing key accounts and driving new business across a diverse product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow six major established accounts, ensuring long‑term revenue.
• Identify and secure new opportunities with food & beverage manufacturers, R&D firms and universities.
• Sell technical instrumentation directly to OEMs for integration into their machinery.
• Collaborate with system integrators to embed our products in turnkey solutions.
• Balance roughly 40% account management with 60% business development, adapting as the business evolves.

Required profile

• Proven track record in technical sales, preferably within instrumentation or process control.
• Experience selling technical products to food & beverage, higher education or general process environments is also valued.
• Strong consultative selling approach with the ability to qualify and close opportunities professionally.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus self‑discipline to work independently from a home office.
