Sales Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join a global engineering manufacturer based near Coventry. The role bridges technical expertise and commercial activity, supporting OEMs, distributors and end‑users across the UK, Ireland and Nordic markets. You will receive comprehensive product training and will work both in the field and from home.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and application support to customers.
• Deliver product presentations and training to distributors.
• Visit customers throughout the UK, Ireland and Nordic regions, including overnight travel.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM.
• Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with product specialists and the wider sales team to develop customer solutions.

Required profile

• Strong technical engineering background with commercial experience.
• Experience in internal sales, applications engineering, technical support or technical customer service within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to develop relationships with distributors, OEMs and end users.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
