Sales Engineer – Rockfall and Geotechnical

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Engineer specialised in rockfall and geotechnical solutions to support our clients across Scotland. The role combines field‑based technical support, business development and project management to deliver tailored geotechnical products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice, support and quotations for a wide range of geotechnical products.
• Develop new business and maintain existing accounts, focusing 60% on rockfall hazard mitigation and 40% on retaining walls, soil‑reinforced slopes and related solutions.
• Win specifications with consulting engineers and build relationships with civil‑engineering contractors.
• Spend three days per week on site visiting clients and two days working from home on proposals and designs.
• Plan and deliver technical seminars and presentations on geosynthetic materials.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in geotechnical or civil‑engineering sales or consultancy.
• Background in rockfall mitigation, geotechnical engineering, geology or related field.
• Proven track record of winning specification projects.
• Ability to manage both new‑business prospecting and account management.
