Sales Engineer – Technical Consultant

About the role

Join a globally recognised specialist engineering firm as a Sales Engineer / Technical Consultant. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients solve complex technical and manufacturing challenges across sectors such as Formula 1, space exploration, renewable energy and cutting‑edge medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client requirements and provide expert advice on standard specialist machinery.
• Collaborate with internal design engineers to create bespoke, custom‑built solutions when required.
• Maintain and develop long‑term, trust‑based relationships with existing clients.
• Focus on inbound enquiries, avoiding cold‑calling and sales quotas.
• Contribute to a knowledge‑sharing culture, supporting continuous engineering learning.

Required profile

• Engineering or technical qualification, or equivalent hands‑on engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a client‑first attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Proven ability to build and sustain long‑term partnerships.
