Sales Executive / Business Development Consultant – Cold Calling

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Executive / Business Development Consultant to join a leading UK logistics company. You will focus on generating new business opportunities through cold‑calling and multi‑channel outreach, and hand over qualified leads to the Head of Desk for closing.

Key responsibilities

• Generate at least 120 new leads per day before call times.
• Build and maintain a sales pipeline, tracking prospects through a CRM system.
• Contact inbound and outbound leads via phone, email and social media.
• Record all activities and sales data in the CRM.
• Listen to customer requirements and present suitable freight forwarding solutions.
• Gather market and customer intelligence and identify emerging trends.
• Handle objections and persuade prospects to purchase.
• Achieve or exceed set revenue and volume targets.

Required profile

• Motivated, results‑driven individual with a strong desire to succeed in B2B sales.
• Proven track record in telesales or cold‑calling.
• Good understanding of international logistics is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently to source opportunities and hand them over to senior staff.

Required skills

• Experience using a CRM system for lead management.
