Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead a high‑performing team of eight professionals in a regulated environment. You will be responsible for driving results while ensuring full compliance with FCA regulations. The role is full‑time, hybrid – three days in the Stevenage office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of four new‑business advisors and four sales support staff, setting clear targets and monitoring performance.
• Identify under‑performance early and deliver tailored coaching plans through structured 1:1s and development goals.
• Oversee quality and compliance by monitoring QA scores, cancellations and complaints, taking proactive action to maintain standards.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations including holiday approvals, shift swaps and absences in line with HR policies.
• Ensure accurate handling of client data and efficient lead management to maximise conversion.
• Participate in recruitment, interviews, assessment days and onboarding to build a strong team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading sales teams within a regulated environment.
• Strong coaching and mentoring abilities with a track record of developing talent.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solver focused on continuous improvement.
• Confidence in managing performance metrics and compliance standards.
