Sales Manager – Japanese Speaking

About the role

This position is for a Sales Manager who will act as the technical bridge between European suppliers and Japan‑based customers. You will use your engineering background and fluency in Japanese and English to drive new business, support existing accounts, and manage complex electromechanical product discussions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening existing client accounts.
• Achieve sales targets, monitor activities and support effective budget control.
• Prepare quotes, process orders and manage export documentation.
• Coordinate project activities and support customers and suppliers with technical specifications for electromechanical components.
• Organise business trips to suppliers and customers and attend defence industry shows.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Japan‑based clients and European suppliers, working closely with senior leadership and subsidiaries in Japan and the USA.

Required profile

• Fluency in both Japanese and English (essential).
• Solid understanding of electromechanical components or systems such as motors, actuators, sensors and control systems (essential).
• Proven experience in technical sales or applications engineering within engineering, manufacturing or technical product environments.
• Experience in international B2B sales or working with overseas clients.
• Excellent communication skills at all seniority levels.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to prioritise effectively.
• Proactive, positive attitude with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
