Sales Manager – UK Field-Based Role

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead field‑based sales of specialist valve solutions to the paper manufacturing sector across the UK. The role focuses on expanding existing accounts, uncovering new opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow key accounts within the paper manufacturing industry.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across an assigned territory.
• Promote specialist valve solutions and associated engineered products.
• Prepare quotations, manage tenders, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide technical sales support.
• Maintain pipeline activity and opportunities using CRM systems.
• Deliver market intelligence, sales forecasts, and regular reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling into the paper manufacturing industry.
• Background in valves, flow control, process equipment, or related technical products.
• Strong technical sales capability with the ability to interpret engineering specifications.
• Knowledge of valve applications and process industries.
• Excellent relationship‑building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proactive, commercially focused approach to business development.
• HNC/HND or similar engineering qualification (advantageous).
