Sales Manager UK

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead the UK customer portfolio for a leading FMCG manufacturing facility, driving profitable growth and ensuring high-quality service. Based in Leeds with a remote work option, the role combines strategic account development with hands-on execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own sales and budget responsibility for the UK customer base (approximately £15‑£20 m).
• Implement country sales strategies aligned with regional and segment objectives.
• Manage pricing discipline, including market-related adjustments, indexation and margin protection.
• Lead value-based selling, commercial negotiations and contract management.
• Maintain and grow existing customers, focusing on retention and identifying new opportunities.
• Translate customer needs into commercial and technical value propositions.
• Collaborate with regional segment teams, operations, supply chain, R&D and finance to align commitments with capacity and cost structures.
• Support regional and European projects using solid project-management principles.

Required profile

• Proven sales or product-management experience, preferably in industrial packaging or a related field.
• Track record of selling to large, complex organisations.
• Strong pricing, negotiation and value-based selling capabilities.
• Solid understanding of technical and manufacturing processes.
• Results-oriented, commercially driven and comfortable managing complexity.
