Sales Negotiator

About the role

We are seeking a driven Sales Negotiator to join a small, ambitious team in Erith. The role focuses on maximising margin through proactive up‑selling, cross‑selling, account management and new customer acquisition. You will work in a target‑driven environment while building long‑term customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Handle outbound sales calls to existing customers to cross‑sell relevant products.
• Generate new business opportunities using prospect data and secure sales.
• Negotiate pricing within agreed authority levels.
• Acquire new customers through referrals and proactive prospecting.
• Deliver a polite, professional and responsive customer experience to maximise retention.
• Identify current and future customer needs through effective account management.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of competitor activity and record findings in Excel.
• Log, track and resolve customer enquiries and complaints following company procedures.
• Ensure all interactions comply with data protection, pricing policy and sales approach.
• Accurately record all customer interactions in company systems.
• Develop and maintain strong product knowledge across the full portfolio.
• Use IT systems effectively to maximise team efficiency.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental policies at all times.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Company Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, account management or customer‑facing commercial roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to identify up‑selling and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Excellent organisational and data recording skills.
• Professional, polite and customer‑focused approach.
• Self‑motivated and able to work within a small team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Comfortable using IT systems for sales and reporting.
