Sales Order Processing Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Order Processing Manager to lead a small team in Harlow, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of customer and supplier orders while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of three order processing specialists.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end Sales Order Processing function.
• Review, improve and standardise SOP workflows, procedures and best practices.
• Identify and implement process improvements to remove operational bottlenecks.
• Monitor KPIs, report performance and drive departmental targets.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Quality and Operations to resolve escalated queries.
• Maintain and enhance service level agreements.
• Represent the team’s priorities across the wider business.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a Sales Order Processing or similar order‑management function.
• Strong understanding of order management, customer service and operational processes.
• Background in sales operations, supply chain, purchasing or related areas.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer focus.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience using KPIs and reporting data to drive decisions.
