Sales‑Focused Recruitment Consultant – New Business Development

About the role

We are looking for a highly driven Recruitment Consultant who thrives on winning new clients and building long‑term accounts. The role is centred on proactive sales activity within the engineering and finance sectors, with occasional delivery of recruitment assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and secure new client accounts in engineering and finance.
• Build and maintain a sustainable pipeline of prospective clients.
• Negotiate commercial terms and track sales performance against targets.
• Convert new wins into repeat‑business and identify cross‑sell opportunities.
• Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process for assigned clients, from brief to placement.
• Collaborate with resourcers and support staff to ensure efficient role fulfilment.

Required profile

• Proven track record in sales, business development or new client acquisition.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and closing abilities.
• Resilient, self‑motivated and comfortable with high‑volume outbound activity.
• Competitive, target‑driven mindset with a hunter mentality.
