SAP Basis Architect

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Architect to own the architecture, security and operations of our SAP SaaS portfolio, including S/4HANA Cloud, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, IBP, SAC and SAP Business Technology Platform. You will define tenant and landscape strategies, ensure secure integrations, drive reliable releases and optimise cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define target architecture, tenant strategy and standards for SAP SaaS platforms.
• Govern identity, single sign‑on and provisioning using IAS/IPS and enterprise IdPs.
• Lead integrations with SAP Integration Suite, standardising APIs and event flows.
• Orchestrate releases and changes, maintaining runbooks and cut‑over plans.
• Implement monitoring, incident and problem management via Cloud ALM.
• Enforce security baselines, audit logging and compliance controls.
• Oversee data flows, retention policies and privacy across all products.
• Track licences and consumption, optimise costs and manage vendor engagements.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in SAP Basis/platform, with at least 3 years architecting SAP SaaS solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with S/4HANA Cloud and at least two of SuccessFactors, Ariba, SAP BTP or SAC.
• Strong knowledge of SSO (SAML/OAuth), RBAC/SoD and SCIM provisioning.
• Proven track record designing integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and governing APIs.
• Practical experience with Cloud ALM, CBC and SaaS transport/change patterns.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and compliance requirements in regulated environments.
