Scenic Warehouse Manager – Lead Scenic Production Team

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Scenic Warehouse Manager to lead our scenic production team in South East London. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient and on‑time delivery of all scenic items, working closely with the Head of Scenic Construction and wider production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the scenic warehouse and workshop.
• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team.
• Plan and coordinate workshop schedules to meet production deadlines.
• Oversee preparation, construction, storage, loading and dispatch of scenic items.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control and health & safety compliance.
• Control stock levels, materials, equipment and overall warehouse logistics.
• Ensure COSHH compliance, carry out risk assessments and maintain workshop machinery.
• Identify training needs and support ongoing team development.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams for successful project delivery.
• Participate in an on‑call rota for after‑hours operational support.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a warehouse or workshop in scenic, events, production, exhibition or entertainment.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of scenic construction and production workflows.
• Highly organised with strong planning and problem‑solving skills.
• Deep understanding of health & safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and a proactive attitude.
