Scheme Manager – Housing Services (Barnstaple)

About the role

We are looking for a Scheme Manager to join our Housing Services team at a dedicated housing scheme for older adults in Barnstaple. You will work within a small team of three to deliver high‑quality, value‑for‑money housing services that promote independent living and provide tenancy support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to ensure efficient delivery of housing services.
• Assist with lettings activities, including viewings, pre‑void inspections and key management.
• Carry out compliance checks and scheme inspections to meet health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and manage extensive computer‑based work.
• Liaise with care agencies, adult social services and other external organisations for support and safeguarding referrals.
• Identify and report repairs or faults, monitoring them to completion.
• Manage low‑level anti‑social behaviour complaints, gathering relevant information and following the complaint process.

Required profile

• Experience working with older people or vulnerable client groups in a housing management setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Strong time‑management ability and capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Full, valid driving licence due to travel requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
