School Administrator

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming school in St. Albans to find a professional School Administrator. You will be the first point of contact for staff, pupils and parents, ensuring the office runs smoothly in a fast‑paced educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide efficient administrative support to the school office.
• Manage telephone and email enquiries, greet visitors and parents.
• Maintain accurate pupil records and update school databases.
• Support attendance tracking, admissions processing and general office duties.
• Prepare correspondence, reports and other documentation.
• Assist with the day‑to‑day running of the office while upholding confidentiality and school policies.

Required profile

• Previous administrative experience, preferably in a school or education setting.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, approachable and a team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using school management systems such as Arbor (desirable).
