School Business Manager (SEND School)

About the role

The Education Network Birmingham is partnering with a specialist SEND school in Atherstone to appoint a School Business Manager from September 2026. The role sits on the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for the smooth operation of the school, allowing teaching staff to focus on delivering high‑quality education.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Human Resources, Health & Safety, Facilities, Finance and Administrative functions.
• Manage and develop the administration and site teams.
• Ensure statutory compliance across all operational areas.
• Oversee contracts, procurement and site management.
• Support financial planning, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Deliver training and guidance to staff where appropriate.
• Drive operational improvements to enhance day‑to‑day running of the school.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a School Business Manager in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of HR, Health & Safety and Facilities Management.
• Effective leadership experience managing administration and support teams.
• Excellent organisational, financial and communication abilities.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused and able to work strategically.
