School Caretaker / Cleaner (Full‑Time) – Greenwich

About the role
We are looking for an experienced, reliable caretaker/cleaner to join the team at a welcoming school in Greenwich. This full‑time position involves maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑presented environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out daily cleaning duties to ensure hygiene and safety.
- Perform general caretaking tasks, including basic maintenance and minor repairs.
- Open and lock the school premises as required, maintaining security.
- Monitor and report maintenance issues, health‑and‑safety concerns, and equipment faults.
- Assist with setting up rooms and facilities for school activities and events.
- Maintain outdoor areas to a high standard.
- Follow all health‑and‑safety policies and safeguarding procedures.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a caretaker and/or cleaning role.
- Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance, cleaning standards, and health & safety.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Dependable, flexible, and proactive attitude.
- A relevant degree or qualification is preferred.
