School Cleaner (Part‑time) – St Leonards‑on‑Sea

About the role
This part‑time position supports a friendly school community by keeping the premises clean, safe and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors. You will work three afternoons a week, ensuring the environment meets high hygiene standards.
Key responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust surfaces.
- Empty waste bins and replenish cleaning supplies.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the site.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Site Manager.
Required profile
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and good time‑management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
Required skills
- Use of standard cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, mops, dusters, etc.).
