School Kitchen Assistant & Cleaner (Part‑time, Temporary)

About the role
Berry Recruitment is seeking part‑time, temporary staff to support schools in Middlesbrough with kitchen and cleaning duties. The role offers flexible shifts that can complement existing commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Vacuum and mop floors, clean toilets and washrooms.
- Tidy classrooms, staff rooms and empty bins.
- Dust surfaces, wipe desks and sanitise high‑touch areas such as door handles and light switches.
- Assist in the kitchen with food preparation, washing pots and utensils, and cleaning kitchen surfaces.
Required profile
- Previous experience in cleaning or kitchen environments is preferred.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport are desirable but not essential.
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.

What we offer
- Hourly rate between £12.21 and £12.71.
- Weekly payment in arrears.
- Flexible shift patterns (9:30‑13:30 and 15:30‑17:30, Monday‑Friday).
