School Lunch Assistant

About the role
We are partnering with a public sector client to hire School Lunch Assistants on a temporary, part‑time basis in Edinburgh. The role runs during term‑time, starting at the beginning of August 2026, with typical hours from 10:00 to 14:00, Monday to Thursday. The hourly rate is £13.66.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious school meals.
- Provide friendly service to pupils and staff.
- Maintain clean and safe kitchen and dining areas.
- Collaborate with a supportive team.
Required profile
- Approachable, dependable and a team player.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge (helpful but not essential).
- Ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods.
- Possession of a valid PVG Certificate.
