School Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate School Nurse to join a specialist school in Billingshurst, supporting children and young people with complex medical and additional needs. The role is term‑time only (39 weeks) and offers a balanced work‑life schedule within a collaborative, purpose‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to students.
• Assess health needs, develop and maintain individual care plans.
• Administer medication safely and respond promptly to medical emergencies.
• Work closely with parents, teachers, therapists and external health professionals.
• Support the Senior Nurse in upholding clinical standards.
• Provide guidance and training to school staff on health‑related matters.

Required profile

• Registered Paediatric Nurse or Registered General Nurse with experience caring for children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Organised, proactive and confident working independently.
• Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
